Visiting Artist Invitational

IF YOU HAVE BEEN ASKED BY A GUILD MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR SHOWS PLEASE CONTINUE WITH THIS APPLICATION.

Dear Fine Artist and Fine Crafter,

Before this application can be processed, one important requirement is for you to have been invited by a Guild member. You are asked to identify the member who recommended you to apply, a space is provided in the application for this. The member will be contacted to verify this. Acceptance will be determined based on quality of the work as well as the balance of the show by participating Guild members. All Visiting Artist Invitational applicants will be held to the same high standards required by the Guild and its members.

In brief, the Artisans' Guild is a group that was formed over 40 years ago of Cape Cod fine artists and fine crafters. Today, The Guild sustains a membership of over 60 working and non-working members. Not all members participate in all shows. A primary requirement for membership is having a residence on the Cape or the Islands. In order to participate in any of the shows a member needs to attend at least three of our six yearly meetings.

Mission Statement

"The purpose of the Guild is to promote high artistic standards and professional growth within our membership, providing the public with a choice of art unequaled in quality and uniqueness. All applicants are accepted through a peer group jury process, which evaluates workmanship and presentation, adhering to printed criteria for each medium. This ensures to the public that all participants have met a level of excellence."

The process is as follows:
Submit a completed application with all appropriate material postmarked 60 days prior to the show's date. Applications will be reviewed by a jury of impartial members (inviting member will have no vote.) Category acceptance will be determined by member participation. Notification of acceptance will be mailed within 30 days of the show date. Booth fees will be due upon notification of acceptance to insure your space. Decision of the jury is final.

NOTE:  The Jewelry category is closed to Visiting Artists.

What you need to submit:
Your application will not be considered if incomplete.

  • Four (4) photographs plus one of booth.
  • Note: Visiting artist who have previously passed the jury process are exempt from re-jurying.
  • $10 nonrefundable application fee. (payable to: The Artisans' Guild of Cape Cod)
  • Complete and sign application.
  • Read and sign rules and regulations page.
  • Self Addressed Stamped Envelope with ENOUGH postage for return of materials and notification.
